Guidable

I worked on improving the experience for guidable, a self-guided travel platform that helps users explore cities through location-based audio tours, AI-generated experiences, and immersive storytelling. The platform combines maps, audio guidance, and cultural discovery into one seamless product experience.

The goal of the redesign was to modernize the interface, improve discoverability of tours, simplify navigation during exploration, and create a cleaner visual identity that supports spontaneous travel experiences.

The Challenge

Travel experiences are often consumed while users are walking, navigating unfamiliar environments, listening to audio, and making quick decisions on the go.

The existing experience contained several usability and interface challenges:

  • Information-heavy layouts

  • Complex navigation during tours

  • Weak visual hierarchy

  • Limited emotional engagement

  • Audio interactions not being prioritized enough

  • Tour discovery lacking clarity and excitement

The core challenge was creating an experience that feels effortless and immersive without overwhelming the user.

The redesign focused on these objectives

Simplify the Experience

Reduce cognitive load and make the interface easier to navigate while traveling.

Improve Discovery

Help users quickly understand and browse tours through stronger visual storytelling.

Create a Modern Brand Feel

Develop a cleaner and more premium visual direction aligned with modern travel products.
